That is amazing! I’ve been following your posts.
Don,
The Victron 702 gives V with an additional battery and I thought it was worth the small additional cost over the 700 model. It also has ‘programmable visual and audible alarms’ as well as ‘Remaining time at current rate of Discharge’ output.
A single FLA battery costs more than this battery monitor. I would not want a ‘monitor’ that automatically cut off the battery at a preset voltage because:
The Engine Battery may drop below 9-10v for a few instants on starting. The Nigel book refers to this as a poor man battery Load test.
I would not want the Anchor light to shut down under any circumstances whatsoever without an alarm alerting me.

All this is all easy peasy once you are on your boat. It’s not nearly as complicated as it sounds here. You will figure it out within a few days at most.
