I know this is a long shot but I would like to find a 3D scan or 3D model of a C-Dory to 3D print. If anyone has one or knows where to get one let me know. |

There are free programs that allow you to create 3D models from a series of images. I was going to try it once, but I needed to figure out how to do it without the trailer. |

When I made my 22 models. I lofted up a half-hull model from my full sized C-Dory. I placed blue tape at 1 foot intervals all over the hull. Took a picture of it then was able to transfer and scale the boat down to make a half hull. That turned into a full wood model then to a mold to multiply them. Not easy to do, but it would be your very own piece of art in the end. Just use the 3d printer to multiply your original model instead of casting a mold like I did. _________________ Mark n' Yuka Elwell |
