I have a 16x25' 11mil, heavy-duty tarp that fits over our C-Dory 22 when we are not using it. I attach it to the trailer with bungies all the way around and it fits very snug and keeps the weather out.

I'm looking for opinions. I am going to install stern eyes for towing. Would it be better to install in the reinforced, thicker transom area (with no backing plate) or above and behind the battery area using a backing plate? The area above is only the 1/4" fiberglass. I'm hesitant to add more...

Thanks for the info. I'm hoping to get as many photos of trailers for CD22's as I can to determine where I need place the bunks/brackets. I think I need to add a crossmember up front as well.
