Thanks for letting me join. I have a 1983 27' C-dory. Bought it almost a year ago. Took a little getting used to but Dang I love this thing now. I am used to jet boats and have spent most of my time on the Snake river, Hells canyon Oregon. Totaly diffrent from what I do now in Alaska to say the least. I fish pretty regular now on Katchamack bay out of Homer Alaska and this C-dory is amazing. I feel as safe as a guy could. I put a brand new Suzuki 140 on it when I got it and havent had any regrets. A friend of mine has a youtube chanel and has made a few videos with us that I will share. It was just my dumb luck buying this boat but as they say even a blind squirl gets a nut sometimes. Lol. I've seen a few shorter ones around and always liked how they looked but had no clue how good they really are. I have three boys and several friends that go fishing with me and everyone likes the boat. Anyway thanks again and Im always intrested in learning more about the C-dorys and being part of the comunity. If anybody is around this part of Alaska and wants to go for a ride gimme a shout.

Congratulations on your boat. looks to be a very capable boat with a great engine that will service your for years to come. It appears you've got the game figured out for the fishing and crabbing. I sold my 18' Olympic boat to a gal that lives in Homer in the summer months and she fishes for halibut right off the the spit in homer. She showed me pictures from her front room looking out at the docks and pointed to where she catches halibut. I delivered the boat up to her winter house in Hansville, Wa. She cooked up a halibut dinner for my wife and I as a thank you for delivering the boat. Boy was that ever good. Enjoyed the videos.

Thank you. Yes, hopefully the new enging kasts for quite awhile. It came with a 5 year warrenty. So, fingers crossed, it will last atleast 5 years. Lol. I have learned alot in the last almost 2 years since moving here to Alaska. I ask questions and pay attention to anyone thats willing to share knowlage. I catch halibut pretty close to the spit also and in real shallow water to. I fish where the fish are. There are alot of good places. Learning more all the time. I've seen some nice Olympic boats around here. It is pretty hard to beat some good halibut tacos or any kind of halibut dinner, thats a proper thank you forsure. Thanks for the response and glad you enjoyed the videos. I have a 24' weldcraft jet boat and a koffler drift boat as well so if you want to check out Alaska small craft adventures he has a few more with the C-dory and the others that we've done together. I also have a youtube channel. If your intrested in checking mine out let me know and I'll give you a link. Thanks again, have a good one.
