Very interesting C-Dory, Craig - never seen one like that before.
I modified your post to include a link to the photo you uploaded - should make it a little easier for folks not familiar with the site to see it. _________________

Wow - this looks awesome! Not in the market myself, but somebody needs to snap this up so we can all lounge on it at the next gathering! Mike - are you ready to step up once again?

The boat burns around 1.5 gals per hour at a conservative 10k cruise,so it has a long range for a voyage to alaska without stoping for gas at every port.

I've made Craig an offer on the boat, and he's accepted it, so when the ink dries, this boat is sold. It'll be called Aiviq (which means Walrus in Yupik and Inupiaq) Jim |

Congratulations Jim! Glad to see it's remaining in the "family". Where is your homeport? Wish I were on the left coast to see it in person! BTW, what does "Niamey" mean in Yupik and Inupiaq or does that come from something else? _________________ CHARLIE and PENNY CBRAT #100

Nope, still eludes me, it appears that it's the capital of Nigeria. You'll probably be the only C-Dory in Africa!! |

Niamey is the capital of Niger (not Nigeria - thank heaven - Niger is bad enough). I work at the U.S. Embassy here, but the boat will be going to Alaska, which is where I'm from, and where I spend most of my time in the US. It's to give me something to look forward too on my home leaves and R&Rs |

Congratulations on your new boat. It looks great for cruising in Alaska. We have a 27ft C-Dory which we hope to do the inside passage up to Alaska some day soon. Maybe we'll meet you up there some day.

Hey, just hook up with Tyboo, and he will have you ship-shape for the ocean voyage to Niger in nothing flat! (I don't even know, does Niger have a coast?) Talk to Asst Rev Jim, maybe he can figure out a way to FedEx this puppy to Niger! It would drive me nuts being that far away from Daydream! I also deduce that we are not going to be seeing you too often at places like Jarrell's Cove or Blakely Island, which is too bad - we were all really drooling over getting to inspect her up close! Welcome aboard, anyway...We will of course demand LOTS of photos in your album (Bill - he is getting an album, right?) When will you be here to take delivery? Maybe we can make THAT a C-Brat event in Gig Harbor!
