Used existing hole and bolt added the turnbuckle mounted wiith backing plate tightened up turnbuckle. Did stiffen up fenders added to front and back both sides
stainless steel bolt heads on the fender support show plate bolted in underneath step all the way thru and bolted to the trailers frame

another shot of the 3/8 round rod welded in to try and prevent cracks. We are trailering to Yellowstone and Grand Teton from Pa. in early August. so we shall see how well this works. It held up well 6600 miles no recracking.
