Paris Landing Marina had great facilities. We had the transient dock to ourselves for awhile before a Grand Banks 42 pulled in. They were headed South to Fort Myers, Florida to complete their Great Loop adventure.

This was the Dock Boss of our transient dock. He seemed ok with us as long as we stayed away from his area. He stood there day and night.

About 10 miles up river from Kenlake Marina you come to Blood Creek. From this point the secondary channel becomes more shallow and twisting. It is also one of the most beautiful sections of the river we have seen.

We drove to KY Dam Marina on Thursday 10/16/08, the first day of fall break. There were clouds and light rain for much of the drive....perfect C-Dory weather. Our heater worked fine so we started up river. The wildlife started immediately with this bird just outside the marina.
