The local harbor seal, Popeye. Apparently, she's about 30 years old now, and recently went missing for a couple of months, according to some intel that Chad received from locals.
By Friday afternoon, more boats had arrived, and it was getting almost unbearably hot for so early in May!
Over on G-Dock was a Willard rendezvous, this one joining the others

On the Friday before Shrimp opening, and with 80 degree sunny weather, only one other boat on H-dock! That one other boat was a home-built Devlin design, 31' LOA built by a man from Bellingham.
