Port Transom Towing D Ring Backing Plate. NOTE: 2 - layers of 1/2" of painted plywood, bedded with 3M 4200 and SS fender washers, then double nutted. Again as throught the boat the Transom holes are routered out and filled back in with thickened apoxy to reduce crushing of foam laminated transom.
Port stern cleat backing plate. NOTE: All the backing plates are bedded with 3M 4200 caulking.
Port midship cleat backing plate. NOTE: All Stainless Steel Backing Plates for Cleats and Windless are 3/32" thick, plus SS Fender Washers. All bolt holes have been drilled out large enough to get a "Dremel" router bit in and cut back expanded foam Core between top and bottom fiberglass. Then fillback in with thickened apoxy and later re-drilled again to fit bolt size. This proceedure reduces the possibilityy of over tightening the cleat fastening bolts and crushing the expanded strafoam core.
