hinges; i used two stainless ones that came off of an engine cover for a larger boat (salvage parts) I'm sure a piano hing would have been better :o|
detail to be proud of =D all gel-coat of course :0|

here is a shot from the open hatch with an ultra-wide-angle-lens! (distortion)
good old plywood - everything was hand-fit this way before glassing
first step was to saturate the pieces with resin mon! :0)
