This is a screen shot of my travels. Ignore the "Man Overboard." That's where I caught the salmon and I pushed the wrong buttons to mark the spot. The GPS readings are for Winter Harbor.
Driving back from Port Alice to Port McNeil, I went off the highway 6 km to Alice Lake. I launched and rinsed off.
Quatsino Narrows. Once through, I decided to stay until the next slack, which gave me some time to kill. So I toured the inner Sound.

If you have a pub, then you need a medical clinic. It is on Sea something-or-other street. I couldn't view the whole street sign. There is also a school for children with E. coli.

This is where the highway to Port Alice crosses the Marble River. Years ago I kayaked down the river and then paddled to Coal Harbor to run the shuttle. Lots of caves along the river, some showing signs of human habitation.
