I think it's going to work out ok. I used some maple TG that I had left over from the pool house for the prototype. I'll end up replacing with some teak and do a little shapping/finishing so it doesn't look so getto.

78" crossbars for both inflatable paddle boards side by side. These were from our old Isuzu Trooper so I know they'll fit both our kayaks side by side also.

U-bolts around the handrails. I was going to bolt the gutter brackets right to the side of the top but decided I really didn't want to do that. This was plan B.
