1/4 inch 12x12 UHDW plastic backing plate windlass load is in shear so maybe overkill but maybe not. lewmar provides 3/8 washers, not even fender washers
studs cut short and taped over to prevent injury if reaching in to adjust pile of rode power wires zap strapped to deck with a lot of extra length for ease of maintenace. (cut the strap)
bolted in place
taped around gasket (did not use it) to limit sealant spread to deck used 3M 4200 white
undercut and epoxy filled curing overnight
when the Force is strong with you cut the holes
