Around 3 PM I decided to go for a little paddle.
Later in the afternoon, more buoys were free, so I moved over to the far side of the bay, away from the beach party crowds.
Next up: how many people does a Whaler 17 hold? If you guessed 10, you are wrong, still plenty of space for another 10 in the rear of the boat.

With favorable tides and flat calm water, I made it to Shallow Bay in about an hour, earlier than expected. Fortunately by 8:30 AM buoys were already beginning to free up, so I grabbed this first one, although not ideal at the entrance to the bay.
Was able to make good time to Sucia on Sunday morning
Cruising up a flat calm San Juan Channel.
