Infrequently, we saw rogue waves of 5 to 6 feet. LI Sound was like this nearly the entire 2013 season as short term, alternating cold and warm fronts whipsawed the Eastern Seaboard. The issue with LI Sound is not just the wave heights, but we have major tidal flows and two rivers to contend with that at times can create confused seas.
