Someone gave me a 14 watt panel, which is perfect for keeping my batteries topped off (test run going on here). Bought a 30 amp controller which I'll mount in the cabin and eventually add a couple panels to the roof rack. We plan on getting a fridge in the near future so solar will be a big help with that.

Here's the house battery all snuggled in.
Starboard lazarette: Everything in place and hooked up. Since we're landlubbers, I went ahead and added a switch to the smart relay ground wire. Turning the switch to off disables the smartness of the smart relay ( no parasitic drain on the batteries while the boat is on the trailer on the side of the house).
Slathered on some 5200 and clamped it into place.
Glued a couple pieces of maple together and drilled pockets for blind nuts. This will be the mount for the Blue Seas battery selector switch and smart relay.
Cables and box. Should work just fine.
Port lazarette: this is where the house battery is going. Drilled a hole for the cables, added a grommet and some anchors for the battery hold down strap.
