The Gold River, another that I kayaked years ago. In the spring, it roars along from snow melt. Now, it looks like a good river for an inner tube. Just kidding. On river right is a triangle sign warning boaters that danger lies ahead.
I was going to anchor in this little bay, but when I came around the point I saw that it was already occupied.
The logs were sorted and placed in 1 of 4 trip dumps. When full, the trip was released and they were sent down in to a raft of similar sized logs. The little tug then hauled them out into the bay.
This is how my CD 16 used to trim.
Coming back in to town.
At the edge of town, it's 45km of gravel logging road out to pavement. Speed limit is 60km. 80km for log trucks.
