This section of the river has a primary and a secondary channel. We decided to take the secondary channel for the up river section of the trip.

Twenty river miles later, we pulled in to Kenlake Marina for the night. Beautiful full service transient docks for $0.65 per foot.

We drove to KY Dam Marina on Thursday 10/16/08, the first day of fall break. There were clouds and light rain for much of the drive....perfect C-Dory weather. Our heater worked fine so we started up river. The wildlife started immediately with this bird just outside the marina.
