Davit installed. I duplicated the same mount on the port side as well to give double duty to the davit. Thanks to Dr. Bob for his advice.

You can see that I mounted the Garhauer "wall mount" by through bolting with bolts supplied. The mount is meant to secure around a rail, but I used half of the mount as a backing plate.
Ball screwed onto mounting nut.
Garhauer Davit ball mount is screwed through floorboards and into mounting plate underneath.
Backing plate to be mounted under floorboards. I drilled holes to accomodate stainless tee nuts and welded to underside of backer plate.
