    Just Bought a 2004 25 Cruiser

Hi Dave, Glad to hear she arrived ok. I guess I don't have to tell my friends at C-Brats we sold the boat. I know you are going to have fun. Thanks to all here for the tips over the last couple of years and I wish you all well. Thanks, Bob. (Alexander)

As we get older and life changes, we have to adapt. We have decided to swallow the anchor and sell our beloved C-Dory 25 Cruiser. I will be putting the info under the C-Dory's for sale heading below. As a retired yacht broker, I will be listing at my former brokerage site on Yacht World but I'm...

    C-Dory Sightings

We spotted CD-16 named "Thelma Ann" out of Pa. She was being launched at Manatee Pocket near the St. Lucie inlet. This is the third time we've crossed paths with her. Last Feb we shared anchorage in Lake Boca Raton during a storm and chatted on the VHF then a week later we saw her in the...

How much boat is too much for someone new to boating?

I concur with previous posters and would add that as a schedule is your enemy, so is SEA ROOM is your friend. Go practice in open water. Don't try to learn your boat handling near docks and other boats. I suggest that you anchor a couple of fenders about 10-12 ft apart and practice going between...

    New C-Brat

Welcome, We have the 130 on our 2004 model and are totally happy with the power and speed. We've had it for a year and have taken several trips of more than a hundred miles up and down the east coast of Florida under varied weather conditions and it has been flawless. I wouldn't worry about...

Florida Use Tax, out of state boats

You should be able to get a form swearing that you are removing the boat from Florida within 90 days. I did it for my son in Mass. when he bought his boat here. You might have to prove you registered it and paid sales tax in Oregon. Good luck, Bob

Nice Magazine spread for C-Dory in "Power Cruising&quot

Hi Bob, I agree. We lived on our Krogen 42 in Spa Creek for 5 years and George kept "Sawdust" (his Thomas Point 43, one of the prettiest boats ever built) near us so we saw each other frequently. He took "Sawdust" around the great loop and wrote several good accounts of the trip. Here's the link...

Nice Magazine spread for C-Dory in "Power Cruising&quot

My new Cruising World came with a free copy of Power Cruising and there is an article ,by an ex neighbor of mine from Annapolis, George Sass. He discusses the benefits and life style of OUTBOARD power cruising in general but features his own boat among several others. He has a Tom Cat 255 with a...

    DEAL OR NO DEAL

No Deal here but I see you have your boat in Winona. I looked at your pics and it took me back. I know exactly where that boathouse is. My wife and I both grew up in Winona and were on the river there since we were very little. Nice to see CD's there too. Our boat is "Alexander" and is named...
