    Don’t want to drill holes!

Try seasucker vacuum mounts (Seasucker.com). I Have used them for rod holders and fender attachment points. Expensive, but for those of us that avoid drilling holes at all cost, these do work.

Gel coat repair kit for 2005 C-Dory 22

I just used spectrum gelcoat patch paste to repair some dings in the blue gelcoat of my 2008 22. I was afraid the color would be off but it turned out great. I bought my spectrum patch kit from iboats, because they were a little cheaper. Good luck.

    Pettit Bottom Paint

We use Pettit Ultima SR 60. Great Paint! The boat is kept in the water from April to November here in costal NC. The paint has been on the boat for 3 years with only 1 recoat at the water line. I'll probably re-paint next spring and plan to use the same stuff, regardless of the cost.

    V berth condensation solutions

Sorry for the confusion. I installed the ports over 2 years ago so I had to dig out the tech data on the ports. The ports I installed were actually Vetus PQ51 stainless ports. Mine used stainless hardware to connect the main body of the port to the interior trim ring, hence the acorn nuts...

    V berth condensation solutions

I installed two of the PW30 round ports and have had no problems with them. To install mine, I placed them at the center of the vertical portion of the v berth (top to bottom). Then I used the interior trim ring as a template and simply slid it toward the bow until I could no longer maintain a...

    V berth condensation solutions

Here in North Carolina, the main problem is heat. So we installed a round vetus port on both sides of the raised deck area of the v berth. Not only do they look great but the ports help to ventilate the v berth area in the summer and winter. We also installed a small vetus ocean series hatch...

    09/23 - 09/25 - 5th Annual NC gathering

Hi Erma, Hopefully, Karen and I will be able to make it to the get together this year. Unfortunately, we've not been able to join you for the last two get togethers because of job conflicts or other obligations. We were able to spend a few nights at Whittaker Point over the last couple of...

    Boat listing on mooring

Hi Rich, To answer your questions, yes, I did find a lot of water that remained in the area of the second inspection port (behind the main cabin bulkhead). I removed it with a shop vac and a sponge. However, water continued to collect there for several days. The foam was still intact but I...

    Boat listing on mooring

About 6 months ago, I noticed a substantial crack developing between the rear cabin bulkhead and the cockpit floor. After probing the crack, I located a rather large hole that could allow significant amounts of water to seep in to the void under the cockpit floor. I dipped a piece of dowel...
