without sounding too dumb, how critical is the function of this tube...it's very thin and snapped off the stem at the lower end of valve cover...there was no clamp.. can the motor function with this disconnected ( we don't know how long it was broken) it could have come off when we removed cover...

no it's not down in that bundle -- this is inside motor case, comes out below the oil filter and loops horizontally to the left into the very bottom of black housing on starboard side of engine. i wish i would have a picture.where it loops out is very near even with where the motor cover fits...

we are replacing the 6yr old original batteries, came with 2 starting group 24's. was always careful not to draw much more than anchor light. but now would like to consider one starter and one deep cycle.. which battery position is default for bilge pump? #1 or2.. staying with group 24 any...

anybody know where to find the alcohol fuel cannisters for the origo stove--cheap? or...how long it would take to burn off bad fuel(sooting like crazy) if they were allowed to burn free on the ground. i don't want to hurt the wicks.
