How to post a boat for sale on home page

My buddy has listed his 25 on the “For sale by owner” forum, but it doesn’t show up on the for sale section on the home page. Any advice on how to make this happen?

    Towing speed (?)

When going on a long haul, I like to travel a bit over 70 mph. Concerned about the ability of my previous tires to handle the speed, I bought some “Type M” tires rated for 81 mph. So far/so good https://www.greenballtires.com/brands/g ... master-str

How to wire a VSR to allow disabling for boat storage

I did understand that’s what you meant Sandy. As you know, I did the switch, which completely isolates the VSR, and takes out any possibility of paralleling when starting the engine.

How to wire a VSR to allow disabling for boat storage

If you wire it to the engine side of the start battery, and the start battery has high enough residual voltage (from the last charge) to initiate paralleling, you’ll be using both banks to start the engine.

Onboard dual bank charger and VSR issue

Thanks Doc, your affirmation of my analysis makes me think I did the right thing

Onboard dual bank charger and VSR issue

I finished the installation today, and I’m happy with the setup, and I think I’ve remedied my concerns. My boat is generally out of the water, connected to an onboard two bank charger. Once I installed the VSR, because it saw over 13.2 volts, it combined both banks, effectively combining house...

Onboard dual bank charger and VSR issue

What the VSR does is checks the voltage on the starting battery, and when it’s fully charged to 13.2 volts it parallels it to charge the house bank. When the start battery voltage drops below 12.7 it isolates the house bank Here’s the info: https://www.bepmarine.com/en/p/710-140a

Onboard dual bank charger and VSR issue

Thanks Sandy I agree that a VSR is primarily for use when you’re underway. The VSR doesn’t care where it gets its voltage from, from the engine when underway or from the house charger when not. Once it sees 13.7v, the relay closes to parallel start to house. That’s why I considered one...

Onboard dual bank charger and VSR issue

Got it figured out. One charger bank didn’t see my battery type. When I selected AGM, it fired right up

Onboard dual bank charger and VSR issue

Around a month ago installed a Noco Genius 2 bank charger, and it charged both house and start banks just fine. This morning I installed a new BEP VSR cluster, because the old one wasn’t paralleling, and now it is. Now only one bank is lit up on the Noco charger, the other has no lights...

    Electric Trailer Winch

Journey On, although I couldn’t open your link, I found your pics. Looks solid with the turnbuckle

    Electric Trailer Winch

What I do like about the electric winch though is with a remote control, I could control it while I’m trying to center the boat on the bunks. My wife would be quite happy to be out of the operation

    Electric Trailer Winch

From what I understand, the winch shouldn’t be counted on to secure the bow to the trailer anyway. A ratcheting strap is recommended
