    How heavy of an anchor should I get?

    Kevin, The Delta 15 lbs is a good anchor for your size and weight of boat, I see one hanging off your bow. We use the same anchor for our 22 cruiser here in Alaska's northern waters.

    Using the compass or not?

    We have seen folks lost with $5000 and up of nav gear on board. Never leave home without your chart, compass and time peice and a little common sense.
