I am pleased to report that just twisting the actuator body slightly tightened up the seal and there is no longer any evidence of a leak... thanks a lot to Tom!

I'll try your idea to tighten with a twist. I guess it just rotates on the lower rod with the actuator in place? Or do I need to remove the actuator first?

my right Actuator Assembly has developed a small leak when the tab is lowered or raised... it is coming out around the top cap. I realize I can buy a new one... my same model is available on Amazon.
