Years ago I had same problem. I was trying different props with different pitch. I don't remember exactly which one caused the problem but when I changed the pitch of the prop the noise went back to normal

I use the Navionics app on my IPhone. I put a IPhone holder on the dashboard and have a USB charging port below. While I also have a Garmin depth sounder/plotter/knot meter, the the Navionics really is the best thing to use. Shows the depth lines, heading, and speed very accurately
