Grazer, I had the exact same problem you describe. I ended up calling Garmin and just explained that I had a MapSource CD and could not get the maps unlocked to update my unit. The person was really helpful and gave me an unlock code right there and helped me install it and unlock the maps...

Mary, I bought a "XGPS150" made by Dual. It communicates with the iPad via "Bluetooth". It is "approved" for iPad, iPod, iPhone. It gives your true GPS location to the software as you go. I have never needed Wi-Fi because I have the entire map I need downloaded on the iPad. Mike

I use an Ipad with an external GPS puck. I downloaded Navimatics East Coast maps. I only use my Garmin GPS for backup now. I also bought a Ram Mount for Ipad w/ cover. The Navimatics charts are surprisingly accurate and I like it very much.

This cruise is such a nice idea. I would also like to meet other C-Dory folks on such a trip. Any chance you all would like to gather again later in the Summer?? Unfortunately the date does not work for us as well. :(

I don't think you are hurting anything by having the bunks extending past the transom. Your trailer looks like you can't move the boat back any further...I may wrong. You can move the bunks out towards the side, or not, it should not hurt the hull, but moving the bunks out will not help to...
