Hi, new to the forum. I bought this in Utah last Winter. As you guessed, it needed a transom, floors, and some other repairs. I removed the I/O and installed a Yamaha 4S 100 on a bracket and I have been very happy with the result. I know, not a C-Dory but very similar in shape and purpose...
