Installed a Lone Star GX2 anchor winch

I have the GX2 on my C-Dory 25, installed last year while in Wrangle, AK. It required #4 cable all the way to the winch. The lemar V700 wireing was not heavy enough to support the GX2. I highly recommend GX2. I also got the remote with it. I now use the anchor locker for additional storge.

    Sharrow prop

Thanks for the feed back on your Sharrow prop. ( and I am not number 1 ) You pretty much confirmed what Sharrow claims in performance advantages. I went with the SS over the Aluminum, as it is repairable and aluminum is not. As for ROI, I will probably never see it. But better reverse control...

Or am I the guinea pig for this new costly adventure. I put 2460 miles on my boat this past year from Anacortas, WA. to Alaska. My...

Hope to see you sometime on the water. Just look for "MY IGGY" in big letters on my boat. The 4.1 nmg was going against the current on the Colorado river. Going with the current it was doing 5.1 nmg, should be about the same in the Ocean, at least I hope so. I will be leaving for Anacortes...

    suzuki DF175 hp performance figures

Thanks for the reply. your calculation of about 2mpg sound about right by the way you described it. I was hoping for in the area of 3 mpg overall with cruise and slow meandering. suzuki DF175 hp performance figures

New guy here, just joined, love this site. I just purchased a 2005 25' cruiser w/ twin 2005 Honda 90's low hours. But I wanted to upgrade to a new single motor. I found a scratch and dent new DF175 APXW5 that fits my budget. Most people suggested the 200 HP, but came in a little over my budget...
