Responding to my own post from above, in case anyone else is trying to figure this out. I put a set of the Timberline towers on top of our 22 Cruiser last year and they worked perfectly. The bars just clear the roof. I'm upgrading the system to a set of 78" long bars this year. We had 2 kayaks...

Thanks, I knew they were not standard, thought maybe someone would recognize they were for some common addition to the C-Dory. Hanging wet items seems the only plausible answer so far, as the hooks are really small and won't hold much, maybe a dock line that has been lashed with a bungee or...

Anyone know what the little hooks are for? They are small and won't hold much, no corresponding ones across the other side.

Has anyone used Yakima Timberline towers to attach roof rack bars to the handrails? I don't have the extra tall roof, so the bars just need to be up a couple inches from the feet mounts. It looks like the Timberline model would grab onto the hand rails and mount securely. I'd rather not use...
