I wear hearing aids, now increased to "boomers" aka BTE, behind the ears. I am dependent on them. Go to Costco and get one not quite as fancy for about $1,200-1,500, still a quality instrument. By a used kicker. Enjoy the best of both worlds. Happy to share details if that helps
