We've known 3rd Byte for 8 years, Mark somewhat longer. Whoever buys this boat is going to get one exceptionally well maintained and loved boat. (At a very reasonable price, as well.) Mark has done a lot of work on and customization to 3rd Byte, and his work is top drawer. Hate to see this...

Matt: We're using a 25-lb, galvanized, Manson Supreme on Thumper. So far , after one season, I like it. It sets well and has good holding power. I ordered it from Azure Marine. However, (and fortunately) we haven't been on the hook under real windy conditions.

Like Dr. John says, they must have changed the location of the water tank to the port side to help balance the load. Ours is on the port side, with a small access panel (that doesn't open all the way) under the front storage compartment. Even our manual says it's on the port side.
