Does anyone use a kicker motor on the starboard side?

I installed my kicker on the starboard side to keep the port swim step clear of rigging. When trolling I steer the kicker from the helm using a tie rod to the main with a wireless Accutroll throttle controller installed on the kicker.

    Relocating electrical

It's a good opportunity to do some research and learn how your boat electronics are powered. Use a DC wire gauge calculator, and remember the wire length is the total pos+neg length. You can account for the voltage drop by calculating the correct wire gauge without guessing or spending too much...

No power to motor and power trim

I mistakenly reversed the pos/neg connections for my kicker motor, so double-check that. The short burned out the fuse inside the motor. It worked fine after properly connecting the cables and replacing the fuse.

    How does a kicker steer?

I have been steering my kicker with a tie bar from the helm or from the tiller handle in the cockpit. The main issue is not being able to control the throttle from the helm, but I am thinking of getting the recently released "Accutroll" trolling speed control system. It's overpriced for what it...

This is a 2002 C-Dory 22 Cruiser. The previous owner bought it in 2009, and I found the classifieds ad here on C-Brats. https://c-brats.com/threads/sold-2002-c-dory-22-cruiser-34-995-anacortes-wa.11523/#post-142425

    Ladder for CD-19 Angler

The factory swim step is a clean option that can go over trim tabs assuming you have the space next to the outboard. I ordered one from the factory last year and installed it. Not cheap, but it adds a step as well as a ladder. The production time was several months, so be prepared to wait. A...

    Recommend a fuel filter

The Racor 120R-RAC-01 fuel filter should work for two motors. I recently replaced the one on my CD22 with a main and kicker. https://ph.parker.com/ca/en/product/marine-fuel-filter-spin-on/120r-rac-01

You might try searching Amazon or boat-specific sites for "cable boot" or "motorwell boot". https://defender.com/en_us/catalogsearch/result/?q=cable%20boot

types of flooring for a 25 ft cruiser

I used the American Floor Mat vinyl loop for my C-Dory 22 per some historical posts by thataway. It was easy to cut and install, and it has been working as expected for the past several months. I ordered the "Vinyl Mesh Pool Mat" in "grey", which actually turned out to be a dark charcoal color...

    Fuel-filler grounding on 22 Cruiser

I grounded my fuel fill by clamping a ground wire between a hose clamp directly to the top of the metal tube. Then ran the ground wire to a battery negative bus terminal. Assuming the following is from the current code revision, clamping metal-to-metal should suffice. They just do not want...

    Prop for new Suzuki 90

I have an older Evinrude 90HP and just went through several props before landing on one that worked. My boat came WAY over-propped with a 19 pitch that could barely hit 3600 RPMs out of an optimal 5000-5500 RPM range. After testing 3 and 4-blade 15p, I ended up with an aluminum Solas 4-blade 13...

    Boat lettering

I recently used https://lettering.com. The lettering seems decent, and it arrived quickly. You can use the site to design basic lettering or upload your own design for something more complicated. Others have used BoatUS. https://www.boatus.com/products-and-services/boat-lettering
