I have a 115 yamaha that i run for hours 4-6 at 1/4 to 1/3 speed. i heard with diesel engines you need to change up the speeds when running like that, is that the case with a gas engine?

Looking at a boat with primary engine, and a kicker. The prim is on the big tank the kicker on a 6 gal tank sitting on the floor of the boat. The only reason I can think of for this is fuel contamination. Both are 4 stroke engines. Why not just add a Y valve of some type and run off the big tank.

Any c-dorys owners in the jacksonville, Fl area? Like the look of the boat but worried we'll need to 'brake' for wakes we pass along the ICW. Would like to hear if anyone is getting off shore here and how these boat fare along our crowded ICW. Maybe get out on one? 25', 22'?

Looking to move up into a lager boat, a C-Dory we hope. Our dog loves cruising with us. We only day trip now, and beach it so everyone can stretch and ‘go’. With the Dory we’ll overnight, and beaching isn’t as practical. How are you dog people working this?
