We have an older model of these same chairs (posted above), that we originally had in our 22 and now in our 26 (so in use about 18 years). They are simple, fold flat and are comfortable. We originally tried the simple folding camp chairs, that fit in a bag, but they we not comfortable.

C-Wolfe, My 26 was absolutely a total pain to launch and retrieve. I removed the carpet and put 1/2” King Starboard on top of the wood. Now the boat launches and loads, like it is on greased skids. It was such an improvement, that it even did the same thing for my Maritime Skiff.

Let the adventures begin! We absolutely loved our 22 for 10 years and used it often for daily boat rides and short cruises. We purchased a 26 and have continued the journey for another 8 years.

You can purchase the switch from a Yamaha dealer, or on line at Boats.net. Yes Amazon probably has them, but most things like this are usually aftermarket.

Most C-Dory’s, had rubrails installed using aluminum rivets. My recommendation is to remove the rubber insert, by removing the rubrail end caps, then warm the end of the insert with a hairdryer or heat gun, then work your way along a a reasonable pace, ensures you don’t get the rubber too hot...
