Well, we sold our Dory to a very nice couple from Alaska (contacted us 1/2 hr after listed on Craigslist). We are now weighing a 24 ft Orca with Honda 225 outboard vs 27 ft Orca with low hrs Volva Penta 8.2L I/O. I am thinking the Honda will be a lot less gas guzzling? Would appreciate advice...

Good pointers! Makes our current C-Dory sound much better in the long run. It is easy for us to launch and retrieve and do LOVE the new fuel injected Honda. It starts on the first try every time. Plus, it is now paid off! :P

We have about 200 hrs on the new Honda. We have a 1 ton Ram diesel dually, so no problem towing.

We are thinking of trading our 2006 C-Dory with newer Honda 90 fuel injected engine and new 8.9 Honda kicker with very low hours for a 1999 Skagit Orca 27XLC with a 7.4 Volvo Penta with 940 hrs on it. The only reason we would trade our C-Dory is to get better handling in the swells off shore...

We would like to get advice regarding whether to have the oil changed on our kicker motor. It is very new, only ran a couple of hours last season on the break in schedule. The engine was fogged and winterized. We didn't use it at all this year. Should we have the oil changed anyway? Thanks...

We are having problems with the door sticking shut. Suddenly won't open, in unlocked position. I finally was able to open it by pressing in on the door handle while turning it. Has anyone else had a problem? Our boat is a 2006 22 foot. The lock seems to be turning ok. Any recommendations...

We have our boat in Sequim for the summer, staying at the John Wayne Marina, and noticed that we have some steering fluid leaking occasionally from behind the steering column. Steering works fine. I checked previous posts, and looked up info on Baystar Steering. We aren't "do it yourselfers"...

We are hoping to try fishing Yellowstone Lake next year for the first time, to see if we can't snag some of their (undesired) lake trout. We have downriggers so could fish deep. Does anyone have suggestions for best lures to try? Would September, after Labor Day be a good time? How is the...
