Best Dinghy for a 22' (for a big clumsy dog)

We're looking for a cabin-top, 2 person-deployable dinghy option that would be good for a big (80lb) dog that has a bad track record with kayaks, sups, & other tippy watercraft

Are there any inflatables that are somwhat resistant to scrambling, panicky dog claws?

Has anyone in C-Brats land solved this particular problem?

Well not exactly,, but this is one tough "dingy", and is plenty stable side to side and end to end. The Alaskan is a doughnut boat, as in the inflation tubes go all around the circumference Which means it rows and/or paddles like a pig on ice, but it is stable with an inflatable floor. For the dog, I would put a layer of indoor/outdoor carpet down to make it less slippery, and tuck those edges in before the final inflation of the floor and tubes. Mine is 15 years old and still works like it did new, but I do have to inflate a bit more often now.

For large dogs (we cruised for many years, including crossing the Atlantic Ocean and 3 Panama Canal Transits with large Labrador retrievers.) you want a solid floor. Either wood, aluminum or inflatable. For the easy to handle for 2, any of the inflatable floor boats work. We had a West Marine inflatable floor 9 1/3, wood transom, boat. Because of our age, we used the Garhauer Davit. The boat weight was 68#. The non transom boats as Harvey suggested are harder to row, but do better with weight. We found that electric motors (Torqeedo was our choice) were easier to use with the dogs than gas. But rowing or paddling are not good with dogs.
