Skip the barge fees and the "project boat" headaches. This is an adventure-ready C-Dory 22 specifically outfitted for extended cruising and remote exploration in Southeast Alaska. We brought this boat up from California 5 years ago and have performed significant custom upgrades for comfort, safety, and fuel range.
Storage: Stored year-round on its trailer in a covered pole barn. Only kept in the water during active use.
Power & Performance
Main: Evinrude 90hp E-TEC (~350 hours). 300hr service done. Exceptional power-to-weight ratio; cruises comfortably at 18-22 kts with plenty of top-end reserve (28-30 kts) to outrun weather.
Kicker: 9.9hp Yamaha High-Thrust (<50 hours).
Handling: Hydraulic steering (with Autopilot).
Stability: Trim tabs for precision leveling.
Custom Interior & Topside
Versatile Seating: Forward-facing seats convert into a dinette or full-length berth. Captain’s seat and rear bench convert into a 5' youth berth. V-berth accommodates 2 adults.
Upholstery & Privacy: All-new vinyl interior upholstery and (x7) custom privacy curtains (2023).
Custom Camper Back (2023): Unique, User-friendly design that doubles your dry living space. Easy to stow for fishing; includes storage case.
Structural & Hull Condition (2023 Total Refit)
Zero-Fastener Construction: Originally, C-Dory interiors were held together with hundreds of fasteners into the core. During a total 2023 refit, the entire interior was removed. All new cabinets, seating, and fixtures are now permanently bonded with fiberglass. * Monocoque Rigidity: This 'tabbed-in' construction method makes the entire hull significantly stiffer, quieter in rough water, and eliminates the "creaks" common in older boats.
Core Protection & Epoxy Potting: The rear deck was professionally opened, inspected, and reinforced. Every remaining exterior fastener on the rear deck has been over-bored and epoxy-potted.
Better Than Factory: This refit addressed the single greatest weakness of the C-Dory design, resulting in a structurally superior vessel that is built to handle SE-Alaska for years to come.
Enhanced Storage: Professionally modified; all seating under-compartments converted to usable storage.
Navigation Note: The GPS, Autopilot and hydraulic steering are fully operational. The legacy Lowrance chartplotter (screen) has recently stopped powering on; the asking price has been adjusted down to allow the buyer to install the modern unit of their choice.
Fuel: Custom-baffled 60+ gallon aluminum fuel tank for massive range.
Ground Tackle: Galvanized plow anchor, 300’ of rode w/ 50’ of chain for deep-water anchoring.
Extras: Dual bilge pumps, battery cutoff, Life-sling, rod-holders, cover, tools, spare-parts and a catamaran-style inflatable dinghy for shore transfers.
Trailer: Galvanized double-axle trailer with extra wheels and spare bearings included.
Logistics: Located in Haines. Happy to assist with coordination for AMHS ferry transport or delivery for a Juneau/Skagway buyer.
Selling only to accommodate a larger vessel for a new business venture. This has been a much-loved family cruiser. Serious offers considered.
