22' Cruiser or Angler?

I currently have a 26' Almar Sounder, a very heavy aluminum boat built in Washington. I do multiday trips on the north coast of BC and a few big lake trips. Its great to have a toilet, shower, fridge and kitchen. But hauling, pushing, launching and loading the beast has become more of a chore. I've always admired the C Dorys and almost bought a 25' before my current boat.

There seems to be more Anglers on the market than Cruisers. Being used to to a fair size cabin and berth, would I be disappointed in the Angler? On the other hand, I'd like to be able to take the grandkids lake fishing more often, so the longer deck might be handy.

So, for those with experience with both, what are your opinions?

I have a 22’ cruiser and it’s great with kids. Perfect boat for me right now, although it would be nice to have a bathroom lol. Have taken 4 kids and 4 adults out in it, but most of the time it’s just me alone or one other person fishing. The cockpit is perfect for 2 to fish. If you are just cruising, 4 to hang out in the cockpit is comfortable. It’s a great all around boat!

I think, for me, the extra cabin space is worth sacrificing some fishing deck space. Yes, I'll miss the flush toilet , shower and kitchen. But everything is a trade off.
