My Dory did not come with a swim platform so I called North West Marine and ordered the original for a 2007, 22' Cruiser.
Unfortunately it did not come with a hole pattern or any directions on how to mount. Does anyone have first hand knowledge of installation for the swim platform with ladder? Any advise is welcome..

I installed one on my boat and used a photos of a factory install at the Seattle Boat Show as a reference. You'll need to find the desired position and use a jigsaw to cut out the "U" for the trim tab cylinder. I used 3-4 dabs of 3M 4000 in lieu of the bottom screws to avoid additional holes in the transom. The top bolts are thru-bolted (drilled, core removed, filled with thickened epoxy, re-drilled). I think I used 1/2in bolts...but do not recall specifically. A photo of my install is in my album.

thanks for the reply. Did you have to remove the fuel tank to install the end bolt on the right?

My swim steps are each held on with two through bolts and 3 lag screws. The bolts can be reached behind the tanks. The lag screws go into the hull down low where there is no inside access. The holes were epoxy coated and there is sealant around the edge of the step mounting face to prevent water intrusion.
