Questions about our "new to us" CD 25 ??

Localboy: I saw your reply late. Are you saying that there is a foam core in the hull and transome in the 2008 CD25 and not a balsa core? I can see why the factory did not use sealant if that is the case.

Questions about our "new to us" CD 25 ??

We are proud new owners of a 2008 CD 25 Cruiser. The fellow we bought it from wanted a smaller C-Dory so he took our CD22 Cruiser in trade. I have many questions for all of you brats about the 25. Your answers and ideas are always so valuable. Thanks, in advance, for your patience and input...

    C-Brat wannabe no longer

Congratulations bridma!! Welcome to C Brat-hood. We recently went through the excitement of bringing home a new to us C Dory. We went from our 22 Cruiser to the 25 Cruiser just last week. I know what it feels like and I don't think there is a cure. Addiction is a terrible thing......but it's a...

    What is it about C-Dories?

What is it about C Dorys you ask? Well, for me it's like this......Have you ever met a person and immediately known that this person is a genuine, no b.s. real person of integridy? That is the feeling I got the first time I laid eyes on a C Dory back in the 1980's at the Vancouver Boat Show. I...

    following seas

I too have been caught in that situation a few times and it is not pleasent but if you are constantly adjusting the throttle and quick on the wheel with the bow trimmed up the c dory handles the condition well. One invaluable item to have is a wheel spinner. You can make those quick steering...

    Water seperator/filter question

I have another question for the brats about the fuel filter. I change my Racor fuel filter / seperator every season but this time I noticed some particles of sediment in the bowl. Shouldn't thet have been caught by the filter or does the fuel go to the filter after the bowl? :? Cheers, :beer...

    Honda 75hp Spare prop size

Les, Thanks for your detailed reply. I usually cruise at 4500-4600 rpm. I don't think I am too much heavier than most fisher/cruisers but I do carry a 75 pound dinghy on top. Have no idea of the make of the prop but yes it is aluminum. I bought a 4 bladed 13.5X15 honda prop but the WOT was...

    Honda 75hp Spare prop size

I too have a 22 cruiser with a honda 75 and I have been trying to find the right prop too. I had a 3x13.5X15 and I liked the speed it gave me but at WOT all I could get was 5000 rpm. The Honda owners book says it should be 5000-6000. I was afraid my performance was not really optimal so I had it...

    Four Blade Results

Earlier in this thread Marc from Wefings wrote…… “……There is no new mousetrap in the world of props and the available ones are there for a reason . Get one to turn [with a load] fairly close to where your motor's RPM range should be and you have a winner .” I have recently tried, what is...
