    Joe, Yes - it seems like an elegant solution. I wish I could take all the credit, but as mentioned above, I inherited it. When I saw this thread I felt I ought to share it with all the members. I'll post the measurements tomorrow.

    Papillon, Thank you for posting the photo from my album. I do not have a way to post directly to the forum. Cap'n Campbell, This installation does not have any additional support beneath the transom. There is a full set of photo in the Lucky Day photo album.

    This particular setup is standalone. It is not hard wired into the boat's system. When AC is needed on board, I use a conventional hd extension cord plugged into the boat's 110v plug via a converter pigtail.

    Another $.02 -- There is significant congestion 24/7 on I-95 as you approach DC and along the Beltway as you skirt the actual city-limits of DC. I have always found the I-95 to US Rt. 301 to US Rt. 50 to the Bay Bridge a lot easier on the nerves. When I was trucking I always went that way...
