Jabsco head in my 25' Cruiser

I have an '04 CD-25 with a Jabsco, too. From time to time, I have encountered the same scenario. In my experience, it has always been a blockage of the intake side.

    Mystery Vessel

That was a very cool video. It really makes ACB's point about superior turning. I also learned that what I referred to as fastbooats should have been Safe Boats.

    Mystery Vessel

Strarcraft Tom - I truly wish I had more of the photos they shot that day - and video too. We went down river below the bridge and they had the JMEC doing high speed circles in its own length. They could move sideways then spin then reverse at high speed. They also had it bear down on us at high...

    Mystery Vessel

Charlie, I've seen another naval ship tied up in Alexandia that I think is the Littoral Combat ship. I didn't have a camera. It was more conventional looking in that it was a mono hull, perhaps the size of a modern destroyer. All the surfaces had the stealth look - there were't a lot of right...

    Mystery Vessel

I did not see this particular mystery ship - but I have seen some other unusual ships in the area. I've added a sub-album to my photos titled "Unusual Sightings." The first vessel in "Unusual Sightings" is the Navy's Stiletto. I was anchored downriver from DC a couple of weekends ago and it...

  11. Saw the Stiletto heading upriver on the Potomac from where I was anchored in the vicinity of Mt. Vernon. It was moving! I estimate 40-50 knts. Produced little wake but threw up a large rooster tail.

    Bilge Pump reconfiguration

Thanks for all the responses. I'll be getting to work on the second pump. Just curious --- any c-brats from the severe winter areas (AK, ID, MT, WI, MN, MI, etc. etc.) have any comments on dealing with ice in the bilges and how their bilge pumps survive the icing.

    Bilge Pump reconfiguration

I ran a search on "bilge pump" and got a zillion hits. Hope someone might have answers for this particular situation: I have an '04 CD-25. The oem Rule Mate 1100 failed three years ago and I replaced it with the same unit. The replacement's automatic function failed sometime after the large...

    25' C-Dory Cruiser--Permatrim

Toyman, I have a permatrim mounted on a 2004 Honda 135 -- the permatrim is mounted on top of the anti cavitation plate. That's what the directions on mine called for.

Eco Extortion and threat to boatyards on Puget Sound

Whoa - keep your powder dry. As the original author noted: ". . . to this point we only have one side of the story."

    iPhone questions

Da Nag -- I'm using Outlook installed locally on my PC. I need a phone I can sync without going through an Exchange server. And - I do not want to have to go through Google's gmail to synch. That's a little too cloudy for me. That's why I am particulary interested if the Droid Eris has a...
