    Super Full Moon tonight...

I was hoping to catch the perigee, but cloud cover moved in & it's now raining...bummer. I will say the tide was ++ on my ride in off the water to lift the boat out (I came in about high tide) - whoah - what a ride on the incoming.

Cabin (Interior) Ceiling Fishing Rod Holders - Photos

Found some from a 2008 thread searching on <ceiling> and <rod> for Dora~Jean, C-FLE II & C-Pearl. C-Pearl is closer to what I'm designing since I'm using teak, SS screws & 5200 to adhere to the ceiling. If anyone has any additional photos...thanks.

Cabin (Interior) Ceiling Fishing Rod Holders - Photos

Searching on <cabin> and <rod> and <holder> produced some results but not what I'm after. Someone (and perhaps many others) have installed fishing rod+reel holders on the ceiling interior of their vessels. I am preparing to make some teack rod+reel holders and I am looking for example...

SO WHAT DID YOU DO WITH OR ON YOUR C-DORY TODAY??

She was getting juice - 12.33V/DC - so that wasn't an issue. But, when I'd hit the switch to turn it on, I'd get a draw-down on the electrical (e.g. lights dimming). So, I check the wiring - and it's getting juice (as I said). I removed the pump, opened up the pump, found the bottom red wire on...

What to Look for When Buying a 2006 25' Cruiser - SF Bay

Agree fully w/ Harry. I live across from the Atlantic Graveyard and I navigate the Graveyard on occasions. Depending (mostly) on time of year, when the Labrador Currnet (upwelling) meets the floating river (Gulf Stream), it's ugly. I live by the motto: Go slow, or don't go at all. My 2007 25'...

What to Look for When Buying a 2006 25' Cruiser - SF Bay

Very wide open question you're asking. I once sold a boat to a gentleman and he never put it in the water. Lucky for him, I'm an honest person - I would never have done the same. 1) Review the hull for dents, scrapes, blisters, holes...etc. 2) Put the Cruiser in the water - ensure it floats. 3)...

    HURRICANE IRENE

Winds maybe ~75-80mph gusting to 100mph right now. Power out for three hours, & just came back on. RoadRunner & Time Warner T.V. cable gone. Verizon Satellite WiFi is working on laptop fine.

    HURRICANE IRENE

Whew...boarding up all 32 shutters is now complete and i'm cleaned up. My General Contractor stopped by to hanker and help me toss up the remaining 10 - much appreciated. Irene has been downgraded, I need to check more carefully on the MB (pressure). The outer bands (with no rain) arrived about...

    HURRICANE IRENE

I've been through ~15 -20 of these things ranging from Cat 1 to Cat 4 - none of them had me in the center of the eye. Irene is tracking to have the eye pass directly over Beaufort/Morehead City, NC - with me in the middle of it if I elect to stay. That could mean 125+ sustained for >1' duration...

    It's here! Our new C-Dory

Congratulations. I often cruise down to Southport - nice marina and nice town. I generally take the ditch. I live in Beaufort. Stay in touch, it's a ncie cruise up/down the ditch - we can hook up for some eats/drinks and/or or whatever.

    Good deal on stainless parts

I purchased from them about two years ago. SLOWER than molasses running up a Maple tree on delivery. I called, sent e-mails, very slow in responses; but, when they finally addressed my concerns, they stated they had run out of supplies. I spend tons of time tracking the owner down to find out...

Mounting a kicker on our 25 Cruiser

Correct. When I initially read your thread, I thought you were talking about the vertical height/direction of the Garelick - which is 15 1/2" (it was late - I was ready for bed). Not realizing by "leg", you meant the shaft of the kicker. :)

Mounting a kicker on our 25 Cruiser

My 9.9 is a 20" shaft. The downward movement of the Garelick is 15 1/2". Good point on the main (engine) rudder whilst "trolling" home. And, yes, the kicker arches forwards (or backwards) - e.g. aftwards of the transom towards the water.
