    Filler Neck

I am building an aluminum fuel tank for a boat and am looking for a filler neck. I want a neck that will accept a 4wheeler/snowmachine type cap that has the guage in it. It can be weldable aluminum or plastic and designed to be attached with screws. Any ideas will be welcome.

Dealing with fish once in the boat

I've discussed the filleting issue with troopers in PWS and their interpretation is the same as above, they just want to be able to figure out how many fish were caught.

Dealing with fish once in the boat

I don't bring halibut into the boat until they are bled. After gaffing or harpooning I put a line throung their gills, rip the gills and tie line to a cleat. My bleeding line has a 12" long steel rod attatched to the end, like smaller stringers have, to make it easier to shove the line...

    Any baitwell ideas?

If you want a portable tank just have the intake and outlet hoses removeable so you can put the intake hose into the tank to suck it dry.

    Wolves VS Dogs

I've heard that rabbit dogs are becoming regular table fare for wolves in Minnesota and Michigan.

    Wolves VS Dogs

Wolves killed and ate a neighbors dog yesterday about 100 yds from my house and everyone is all excited around here. I live next to a lake and every winter these wolves patrol the shoreline every few weeks looking for tasty dogs and kitties but most people don't realize it. I've found remains...

    When to stay in port!

Lynn canal, I don't like that place. Every time I've been through there it was rough from the lighthouse near Haines for about 10 miles towards Juneau. Once I had the bow into the blue and prop out of the water on every wave for awhile, I told my wife that we were just fine but I was so...

    Drain Plug and Nav Light?

Years ago I had a boat with one of the fold down type plugs. While underway my daughter asked me if there was supposed to be water in the boat, I looked back and we were taking on water. The plug had come out so I replaced it and 10 minutes later it came out again. I later found out that the...

    Launch Ramp Fun

I'm with you Marvin. During the 2 most miserable years of my life I lived in Las Vegas and our best entertainment was going to a 6 lane boat ramp on Lake Mead and finding a shady spot to watch. We saw a few sinkings, the beginnings of many divorces, and hundreds of heated explanations of which...

    Starting The Adventure

Yep, I'm in North Pole, I don't know Jack, at least that's what people tell me. There are lots of brats around here, C-Dory's are good boats for Prince William Sound, which is the nearest piece of salt water.

    Starting The Adventure

I'm back and the proud owner of a well neglected Bayrunner. I tried to put it in the water yesterday and after busting ice with an axe for 30 minutes found that it was so cold the shifter wouldn't move. I'll be going to Los Barriles, about 70 miles north of Los Cabos. I've got a winter project!

    Starting The Adventure

With retirement just around the corner I'm heading to Juneau tomorrow to buy another boat, an 18' Bayrunner. In early spring I'll tow it to Baja and leave it so in the future we can fly down and use it. I'm not looking forward to the drive, about 4,500 miles, but it'll be worth it. Once I buy...

In almost all magazines that test products whether boats, guns, or fishing tackle, if a product is tested the product will also have sizeable adds in that issue.

    Mexico Boating

Thanks for everyones advice. I will likely go with the temp importation permit. I've been down there a number of times and since I will soon be retired I can spend more time in Baja.

    Mexico Boating

I am going to buy a boat in Baja or tow one down there and leave it. Has anyone here legally left a boat in Mexico? What was required? My C-dory will be staying here. If anyone knows of a used 18'-23' bayrunner or something comparable in AK let me know. Thanks
