    Water under the v-berth question...

Possible. I posted in your other thread.

    Looking at a 25' C-dory: Advice please

Check the brass bow/keel strip. With salt water under the berth, it’s possible that a screw or screws pierced the fiberglass. Known issue in the past. I removed ours, plugged the screw holes with West Systems and installed a Keel-Guard adhesive one after another owner returned to their boat...

Solar panel on 2 batteries vs one panel for each battery

Dr Bob is correct as usual. I installed a mini Add-A-Battery in our 2006 and removed the original battery switch. A couple of years ago, I added a simple solar system; 110 watt semi flex panel with 30 amp PWM controller. Controller is attached to the house battery but once it tops out, the...

    boiling water

FYI check Costco business. They used to sell a stainless one burner butane stove for $25. Perfect for what you need. I’m sure Bezos’ company will have them too. It’s what we use and as Patti noted, we more “steam” them vs actually boiling.

    Honda 135 outboard on a 25'

They were very common. There are many here that had that combo. Someone with hands on experience should chime in.

    Sturgeon!

Nice. 8) I didn’t know they were edible. For some reason I thought one caught them for sport only.

    Galley Storage Ideas

Also I unscrewed the captain’s helm seat and replaced the four bolts with two S/S hinges on the front an rubber furniture feet on the rear. That way when at anchor or dock we can flip it up and have more “counter space”. I use a small nylon strap with a snap on our window frame to stop it from...

    Self bailing - important?

Perfectly understandable. Best of luck to you.

    Self bailing - important?

With the 25 you get WAY MORE than just a self bailing cockpit.

    Galley Storage Ideas

Plastic storage totes currently. Think milk crates. Not perfect but they work and you can pull them out sorta like drawers. Larger ones below.

How to loose a caliper on your trailer disk brake system..

I use silver or gold anti-seize on items like lug nuts, but it is the exact opposite of thread sealer. A little goes a long way. We primarily boat in saltwater, so the anti-seize helps.

    Stem cell therapy

Curious if any of you have pursued stem cell therapy for osteoarthritis issues vs more radical surgical protocols. Seems after 26+ years of chasing bad guys, along with an ACL reconstruction/torn meniscus cartilage of my right knee, I’m a candidate for total knee replacement. I...

How to loose a caliper on your trailer disk brake system..

I’d use red (hi strength) Loctite or similar. Most specs will call for it vs the blue medium strength on brake parts.

    Towing speed (?)

Did the same. Installed 4 Goodyear Endurance tires prior to this trip. I’ve gone thru several “Made in China” tires ;some came with the trailer, some I bought from Les Schwab. I’m going to put the 4 used ones on my car hawler. It does not see many miles. Still need one more Goodyear for the...

    Marine oil vs car oil

Mike, I did the same when the Suzuki was under warranty. I sucked it up and bought the "Suzuki brand" oil. Once the warranty was done, however... Can't blame you with that perty new 200... The one engine I do baby with full synthetic (Shell Rotella T6) is the diesel truck, but only because...
