I guess the thing that ticks me of a bit is we are in full on boating season and the marina is half empty. You would think they would give a bit of a break and fill it up , other than having a bunch of empty slips. rate is 7.50 per foot under 24ft and jumps to 10.50 over 24. Oh well , bite the...
Just dealing with a transfer to a new marina for a couple of weeks and the fellow is being a bit of a ? As I have never had to actually measure before and will not be out until Sunday any thoughts or measurements would be great. 22 Cruiser with twin 50's. The rate jumps over 24 ft. He is a turd...
Hey Tom. Valerie is keeping me around on Saturday to help out with a garage sale :cry Weather permitting am going to try for Sunday on the west side of San Juan. A mile off Zero rock for Halibut. We will try hailing you.

A good point is the safety clip or strap or related items. I remember a couple of years ago heading to Port Renfrew with a buddy to fish for the long weekend. His boat was good to go before we left but launched on arrival and nothing worked. Spent hours trying to figure it out and conceded to...
Wish we were there with everyone but not to be this time around. Hope our afternoon rains passed you over as the sky opened up here in Victoria around two and could not see across the street. Have some fun and remember, eat dessert first. Be safe on your journeys home.

Was a great day on the water but no fish to be had by us. 5 huge crab but they wouldn't let me weigh them in. 250 entrants and 43 fish weighed in so slow going. A friend's boat won with a 22lb Chinook. 5 grand and also the side bet with 65 guys throwing in a hundred a piece so another 6500 on...
Hi Tom. Hope the day went well and you managed to hook into one. I have fished halibut on friends boats with somebody who knew what they were doing but I am still in the dark and going to give it a try my self this year. Saturday is Sydney Anglers Salmon derby . 250 Tickets only and first place...
Hey Mike. We ran out of North Saanich Marina to Wain Rock and Deep Cove. Dropped two traps in 200 ft and just hung out for a couple of hours. Had three hits and got the Chinook on a Coyote Coho Killer at a 100 ft. It was like a summer day, warm and flat calm. Looks like rain is back in for a few...
:D :D Had one of those days of not feeling great so had to cancel some calls. 3 hours in the sun on Thalassa with a buddy , 70 prawns and a 12lb Chinook. PRICELESS
We have a swim ladder but have never used it as the water is to dam cold in these parts.. Good thing to have though in case I hook a big one and he pulls me in. I think I am jealous of this post :sad :sad
Hey Bob. I may have jumped the gun on asking this question without doing a bit of research. I have twin 50's Yamaha's 2009 with digital gauges to match. Home from work this afternoon with a bit of time and what I thought was a fuel pressure hose attached to the back of the gauge that was not...
Thanks Guys. The paddle is spinning freely but the gauge on the consul is reading zero. I did not know that it was done with magnets in the paddle so I understand that end now, thanks for that. I will do some wire tracing and go from there.

Hi There. About half way through last season my gauge was showing zero speed over water but I did not worry about it as I was okay with the GPS and speed over ground. Now as I am soon for launching I am looking at the paddle wheel and I don't think it is touching the little sensor. Any ideas on...
I just had the twins serviced by Chris at Forsch Marine here in Sidney. I had a bit of problem getting Thalassa to him during the week so he picked it up yesterday morning and brought it back to me at the end of the day all serviced at a fair price and a great job. No charge for the pick up...
In like a Lamb , out like a Lion they say. First day of spring, gusting 60k -70k SW, power was out for a couple of hours, few flakes showed up. Had almost thought of taking the cover off on the weekend. Soon but not today.
I feel for you in the Northern climes during the winter but you do live in one of the most beautiful area's of the world. We have a few buds on the trees and I have noticed the Canada Geese are starting to form up and head your way so hang in there. Spring is a coming.

Ahh Come on. Give us a break. Mowed the lawn for the first time this year on the weekend. Had to pull that cord on the mower 15 times in 10 knot winds before she started. Arrrggg.
