    Twin 50's or Twin 40's?

My answer would have been the 40s. But then I read lthe post from Les. I'm staying with the 40s. Really for the same reason that I have a 75HP. The added HP of the 40s or the in my case the 90 Honda does not buy you anything for the additional money.

    Lifetime of a Honda 40

Hi Pat, If you are wondering why I came up with that number its partly due to the fact that I am an engineer, and partly due to the fact its a good way to break the relatively high cost of the boat down to the treasurer......my wife.

    Lifetime of a Honda 40

That is indeed an incredible number of hours on the engine, she served you well!!! If my engine (75HP Honda ) lasts that long then doing the match it comes out to less than $3.50 per hour! Where can you get that kinda of value! :D

    Internet/Email from Boat/Cell Phone

I have both 802.11 and hooked to my PC via USB my cell phone. The cell phone option is widely available for checking emails, any where Verizon has coverage. It connects easy to the PC via USB cable. The speed I get is 240kbps. Slow relative to 802.11. The cost is a phone call, whatever my...

    Life Rafts for CD22

I pump it up once I get to where I'm going. Its rather clumsy. Salty Cs has towed their Zodiac and it does bring down the fuel economy. I have not found the ideal solution yet. I must say once I get mine pumped up its great. I put my 8hp kicker on there and its fantastic.

    Life Rafts for CD22

Hi Gary, I have a dedicated Winslow Life Raft. It is small in size stows under the drivers seat. It weighs 65lbs. It has a 406Mhz EPIRB, and a thermal floor to protect against the cold waters. When and if I ever needed it; I throw the liferaft in a bag overboard and it would deploy on its...

Jon CLou, We probably know some of the same people. I have worked on all of those programs except the L1011. However I currently work with several of the alumni of the L1011 program.

    It's a small world.

I currently live in Thousand Oaks, CA. I do spend a couple of hours each week working in Palmdale CA. I'm a manufacturers rep for airborn and ground based telemetry hardware and software. This stuff is used mostly for flight testing of aircarft. If you have lived in Palmdale you of course...

SO WHAT DID YOU DO WITH OR ON YOUR C-DORY TODAY??

Hi All, I took Islander out yesterday with some friends to look for some Gray Whales. They are making their way North back to the summer grounds in Alaska. We were fortunate enough to find several Whales just three miles out of the harbor entrance. We meet up with Sealife Mike and went in...
