A New 22' Cruiser named Rabbit's Hutch is Born

Thanks, Caryn & Peter. I just ordered one. With no refrigerator, no back up VHF, no 8 to 9 day fishing trips planned, no electrical nuts on board, and a boat that will almost alway be on a mooring overnight, I can't justify spending $1000 for installed shore power, but this should be handy for...

How much was it? I would like to see a picture if you have them. As you can tell, this is all kind of new for me. Thanks, Norma

A New 22' Cruiser named Rabbit's Hutch is Born

Where does one find a shore power cord? Is this something you run through a window or something? What can you run off it? We're not getting shore power because we don't expect to be in slips much, but it would be nice to have the option of power at times. Congratulations, Gary. We went with...

Well, that certainly is an appealing thought, but maybe a bit extreme.

    insurance rates/policy

Well, with all this talk about Progressive, I decided to get a quote for my 2006 CD 22. Plugged in my zip code and it said they don't offer boat insurance in my area. I'm still waiting for a final quote from my local agent but it will be close to $600 for a $48,000 boat. Norma

I just made a reservation for a slip for our brand new, as yet unnamed, CD 22. Look forward to meeting everybody. Norma

    C-Brat Wannabe No More!

Thanks, Fred & Sheila. I would love to chat with you at some point about cruising Buzzards Bay/Cape Cod Bay. We'll have the boat moored at our house on Great Neck in Wareham on the Onset side. We've sailed our cat boat around the small bay there and on the Wareham River, but we plan to...

    C-Brat Wannabe No More!

I'll have to check out the Androscoggin River. Don't know of any connection but there's probably something back there in the British Isles somewhere. My family is all from the South. Norma

    C-Brat Wannabe No More!

El and Bill-- My sign on name is just my first initial and last name. What river are you referring to? By the way, your names came up when we were signing the paperwork with Ruthie at Cutter yesterday. She mentioned that a couple that lives on their boat was at the Chesapeake gethering last...

    C-Brat Wannabe No More!

Thanks, Mike. I looked at your photo albums and noticed you have some young fisherpersons -- are they your daughters? We have an 8 year old and while we don't really fish I think she's going to love cruising around and jumping in the water.

    C-Brat Wannabe No More!

Well, we signed the paperwork and wrote the check for our 2006 CD 22 today! ':D' No name yet and it's still at Cutter getting rigged the rest of the way and then detailed. We went for our sea trial this morning in 40 degree weather and a bit of wind and determined that it really does live up...

Let's go Hunting with Dick Cheney

I just received this by e-mail from my lawyer spouse: Cheney leads effort to attack lawyers Kingsville, Texas (AP) -- Impatient with stalled efforts to close the courts to litigants, the Bush Administration literally fired the first shot in its groundbreaking "No Lawyer Left Standing"...

Let's go Hunting with Dick Cheney

I'll admit that I was pleasantly surprised to see the original post on this topic. My impression is that my views are way to the left of the majority of the C-Brats and I thought it was bold to put something out there that would probably not be popular with most people likely to read it. I...

As a soon-to-be C-Dory owner in the DC area, I am interested in knowing more about this gathering. Although we will be taking the boat up to MA in mid-June, we are buying from Cutter and will have it here until then. What is this gathering like? Do people cruise around during the day and...

    Towing a CD22 with a 2005 Honda Odyssey

Thanks for the input. The numbers I got on weight are a bit lower than what Joe has cited. I'm not sure if my info is correct. I have a brother-in-law who can tow it for me the short distances that I need to go, just to put it in the water at the beginning of the season and take it out again...

    Towing a CD22 with a 2005 Honda Odyssey

Has anyone towed their 22 with an Odyssey? The 2005 has a towing capacity of 3500 with the coolers, which I would have to add. Not sure what that would cost. I realize the CD 22 would need to be empty of fuel to make it light enough, but wonder how it would pull, etc. I appreciate any help...
