I use a heavy duty rubber tensioner on the tomcat. It's a version of those that truckers use to secure their loads. It works well and doesn't involve drilling any holes.

We have the TC24 and tunnel clearance is not a big issue. When drifting the deck is not in the water. It does hang low, especially with full tanks and lots of gear in the cockpit. I wonder if the addition of the Armstrong bracket acts like a fulcrum to push the deck on the 255 down.

I've sold two c-dorys....both through well-known c-dory brokers. They took a fraction of the sale price but the reduction in stress was worth it to me. I'm sure that the buyers were also assured by the fact that the boat was being sold by known brokers with solid reputations.

Hilton Harbor in Bellingham has non-ethanol gas for 4.69. Last week it was 4.39. But as I said on another thread the shutdown of the Cherry Point refinery due to the recent fire means that they had to have a truck come up from Tacoma with the gas.

Wow, that truck is a beast! No troubles towing c-dorys, Marinauts, or Rossies.
